24 the TV series stars Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer, who works for the United States Central anti-Terrorist Unit (CTU). 24 is a unique series as it tells the story in 'real time'. Each season consists of 24-hours in real time and airs over 24 hours...or 24 one-hour episodes.
24 takes on plots from assassination attempts, to terrorist threats on the US homeland. The series also is known for multiple storyline twists throughout the season. Just when you think you figured out who is behind the threat...you are proven wrong or find there is another side of the story. There always seems to be a 'race against the clock' feel which makes for one wild ride.
24's first season aired on the FOX Network in November 2001. FOX originally ordered 13 episodes, then after strong ratings picked up the additional 11 (making 24). 24 is best watched with back-to-back episodes, since many end with a 'cliff-hanger'. It's the perfect DVD series and you don't have to start the series at season one either.
