Friends followed six friends through all aspects of their lives. The characters aged from their mid-to-late 20's into their 30's during the 10 seasons it ran. Friends quickly became the most popular situation comedy of it's time, mixing great comedy with drama as well. Each episode of Friends was, for the most part, self contained...but was also part of an overall story spanning many seasons.

Friends was unique for it's time and many shows tried to copy their formula, but never pulled it off. The cast was perfect and they were actually very close off set. The group lives in NYC and usually settles down in the Central Perk cafe. Central Perk was one of the main sets along with two apartments in which some of the character lived. The apartments were actually across the hall from each other, which puts them together quite easily.
Friends is a favorite and will go down as a classic. With a whopping 10 seasons...buying the complete series will keep you entertained for quite some time and is well worth the price. Friends can be enjoyed over and over since there are many classic episodes that people will refer to for many years to come. Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler and Ross actually feel like your own Friends. Joey (Matthew LeBlanc) got his own show after Friends ended, but Joey only lasted two seasons.
