Las Vegas brought all of the drama and the excitement from inside of the fictional Montecito Hotel Casino on the Las Vegas Strip to the inside of viewers homes. The series tried to capture the fun, romantic and sexy stories that one could find in Sin City. Las Vegas could also be known as the 'Love Boat' of the mid 2000's.
Las Vegas usually had self contained story lines that lasted only for one show, but often had some cliff-hanger episodes and longer minor story arcs. Las Vegas follows an ex-CIA Agent that is now the President of Operations of the Montecito. Ed Deline (James Caan), runs the show, but often the show follows the other managers and workers of the Montecito. The series tried to stay fresh by shaking up the cast and characters' roles a few times. The final season found the show losing some key actors due to budget cuts.
Las Vegas was one of those shows that would entertain without being too 'deep' in the drama department. That is what made it so popular.
