The Incredible Hulk aired on the CBS Network for five seasons (1978 - 1982).

The Incredible Hulk follows the same mythology as the Marvel comic series of the same name. Dr. David Banner loses his wife in a car accident and is riddled with guilt. He thinks that if he were strong enough to lift the car at the time of the accident his wife Laura would still be alive. Dr. Banner then sets out to find a scientific procedure that would give a human the ability of super-strength, in the hopes of curing his broken heart.

The experiment calls for Dr. Banner to flood his own body with gamma rays. Unfortunately, Dr. Banner doesn't know the machine was set to a much higher setting and the experiment goes horribly wrong. The overexposure to so much gamma radiation causes Dr. Banner to transform into the green 'Hulk' whenever he becomes angry. As you can imagine, people want to capture him to study so he must run for his own safety.

Each week's episode finds Dr. Banner in a new town, meeting new people. There is usually some kind of problem that manifests and the Hulk comes out. Dr. Banner must try to control the Hulk and help his new found friends. In addition, he is on a quest to cure his alter-ego (Hulk) and hopefully stop running and begin to live life once again.

The Incredible Hulk is classic American 1970-1980's TV. The special effects are not close to what they can do today, but are very entertaining...even today.
