The West Wing is drama set in the West Wing of the United States White House. The West Wing houses the Oval Office and the offices of fictional Democratic President Josiah Bartlet. The series was quite popular and won critical praise. The West Wing won two Golden Globes and 26 Emmy Awards.

The West Wing followed the drama series formula. There usually is a main story arc that spans the whole season and there are mini-stories within each episode that propel the season-long plot forward. The typical episode follows the President and his staff throughout the day with some additional locations important to the plot intertwined. The West Wing is a great series that offers a peek inside of the White House. While some of the plots seem to be a bit out of the ordinary...looking back, they might not be that far off of reality. The West Wing is a must for anyone interested in politics or anyone liking a well written drama series with interesting characters. The acting is top notch with some great actors as regular cast members (like Stockard Channing and Martin Sheen).
